I am bored with the Internet. I came to this realization the other day, and wanted to post about it. But you know being bored with the internet kind of stopped me from doing it. Basically I am bored with computers in general. I am tired of having to deal with them. I think its the whole working with computers that makes me not want to deal with them at home. I think this is also why I really like my mac. Its a very different change from the Unix world in usually live in. I don’t need to do anything. It just works. I like that. But I find that I am using my computer less and less now. Its like everything has lost its luster. Especially the internet. Yeah every now and again something cool will come up on the internet. But for the most part its the same old tired shit over and over again. Look some stupid guy is getting hit in the nuts on Youtube. WOW how funny. Oh look at those crazy japanese with there funny game shows. The whole thing has me just fed up with it. There is nothing new and exiting anymore. Im not sure why the internet needs to reexite me, but I know for sure it isn’t web2.0. Wow look I just made a webpage look and act like an actual application. WOW. Its fucking dull. And I don’t even want to begin talking about the whole social networking craze. Does anyone else remember friendster, or 9 degrees. These things failed for a reason. I fucking hate myspace and live journal and facebook and all the other stupid shit crap thats out there. And I hate that everyone seems to love them. Myspace fucking sucks. The internet Sucks. Im officially bored with it. Its time to move on with my life. More physical activity, and more real life stuff. Fuck doing everything in the virtual space. Im going to do it for real. The internet is the new TV. The new opiate for the masses, and Im not going to be part of it anymore. Im cleaning up, going into detox.
